Event terms and conditions

By ordering your ticket for an Exchange event you confirm that you have read and accept the following Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

Terms and Conditions

1. YOUR ORDER

1.1. Tickets for The Exchange events are made available by the organiser, Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C., and once your order has been received and accepted this creates a legally binding contract between you and Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C.

1.2 Once your order has been received and accepted you will receive a confirmation email. Confirmation will be deemed to have been effectively communicated to you when this email is sent (whether or not you receive such communication). It is your responsibility to contact us if you do not receive this confirmation email. If you have any questions about confirmation of your order you can contact us through this website.

1.3 Orders cannot be accepted until we have received cleared funds for the total cost of the ticket, including booking fee.

1.4 Once an order is confirmed, tickets cannot be transferred or exchanged. Refunds can be requested up to 7 days before the date of the event. Your refund will not include any third party booking fee, which is non-refundable. If the event has to be cancelled, a full refund will be given.

1.5 Should an Exchange event be cancelled for reasons beyond our control details will be posted on this website and emailed to ticket holders to the email address given at the time of ordering.

2. YOUR TICKET

2.1 Once your order has been accepted you will receive an electronic ticket (if you purchased via Eventbrite) or receipt (if you purchased via this website) to the email address you gave when making the order.

2.2 You must have your electronic ticket or receipt with you when you arrive at The Exchange event venue. If you do not have your electronic ticket or receipt, or a printed paper version of it, with you, you will not be granted entry to the event.

2.3 If you change the email address or telephone number you used when making your order, it is your responsibility to notify us.

2.4 If you have mislaid or lost your electronic ticket or receipt, you must notify us by email at least 48 hours before the day of the Exchange event.

3. ENTRY TO THE EXCHANGE

3.1 Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. and its agents reserve the right to refuse entry to Exchange events, at all times, at their discretion, for reasons including but not limited to health and safety or security.

3.2 Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. and its agents will not accept any abusive behaviour towards staff, volunteers, guests or attendees. Anyone who is deemed by Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. or its agents to be acting in an abusive manner will be ejected from the event, and no refunds will be given.

4. LIABILITY

4.1 Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. and its agents do not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss of any kind in contract, tort or otherwise arising out of the use of this website or the purchase of the tickets or other goods or services from us by whatever means.

4.2 Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. and its agents do not accept liability for any loss or damage that is caused by any event or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

4.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. and its agents will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury to any person or their property howsoever caused.

4.4 Where Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. is deemed to be responsible for loss, damage or injury, damages will be limited to the maximum public liability insurance cover held by Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. at the time.

5. PRIVACY

5.1 Information about you that you give us, including your name, address, telephone number and email address is held by us, credit/debit card details are not held by us. The information we do hold is needed to process the transaction and fulfill your order and any subsequent problems or disputes. Any attendee details we hold are stored on a password-protected device and deleted after 12 months.

5.2 We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

6. USE OF OUR WEBSITE

6.1 Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. reserves the right to update or otherwise change these terms and conditions or amend this website at any time and without notice to you. We recommend you revisit the website regularly to check for any updates.

6.2 Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C. and its agents take no responsibility for any event or action that arises from your decision to use any part of this website.

7. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

(i) These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

(ii) If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall not be affected. No waiver of any breach shall be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach.

RULES FOR STILL AND VIDEO PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE EXCHANGE EVENTS

(i) Permission for still and video photography in public areas must be sought from the event venue. Still photography is allowed in the room where the event takes place.

(ii) The Exchange events are private events and the use of video photography and audio recording is not permitted during the events.

(iii) All photography taken during an Exchange event will be deemed in the public domain and cannot be used for commercial purposes unless by prior agreement with Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C.

(iv) The taking of any photography must not impede the enjoyment of other event attendees, including but not limited to any camera equipment obscuring the view of other audience members during an event.

(v) Free standing equipment and the use of flash photography is not permitted during any event.

(vi) The use of power sockets requires the permission of Great Ideas Unlimited C.I.C.

(viii) Anyone person in breach of the above rules for still and video photography and audio recording will be given a verbal warning and an opportunity to remedy such a breach. In the event of a subsequent breach of these rules, the person will be immediately ejected from the event and no refunds will be given.
