What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Event Tickets

Tickets to The Exchange events are sold via a third party, Eventbrite. Eventbrite shares some personal information with us, such as customers’ names, email addresses and other information they may require when customers book a ticket for The Exchange. We retain such customers’ personal information that we receive solely for the purpose of verifying bookings and attendance at the events. Eventbrite do not share any customer payment details (such as credit/debit card details) with us. Contact form

If you send us a message via the contact form on our website we will receive a copy of your name and email address, and your message. We use this information to deal with your message or query. We may retain this data for up to one year in order to refer back to queries should that be necessary. You can write to us via our contact form at any time and request that we delete all data from correspondence we have received from you.

Mailing list newsletter

You have the opportunity to sign up for our free mailing list newsletter. When you sign up for our newsletter you must provide us with your email address. We will send a confirmation email link to your email address so that you can confirm the sign-up. We only use the mailing list newsletter to send subscribers information about The Exchange events and do not sell your information to any third parties. Your contact information will be shared with our third party mailing list provider, MailChimp, for the purposes of providing you with the newsletter. Other information shared between us and MailChimp includes whether you have opened one of our emails and clicked on any links within it. We do not share or sell this information to any other party. You can request deletion of the data we hold on you, and unsubscribe from the newsletter, at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any newsletter we send to you. Website logfiles

We collect personal data through our internet access logs. When you access our website, your internet address is automatically collected and is placed in our internet access logs (i.e., log files on server). We also record the URLs of the websites and pages you visit, the times and dates of such visits, information about the computer hardware and software you use.
